Publications
Together with prof. Ahti Laitinen, two criminology textbooks (1993 and 2005); editor of book on crime in the adjacent region of Finland (The Baltic Region, 1998) and reports on organised crime, international law enforcement cooperation, hate crime, corruption, trafficking in human beings; over 70 other published research reports with other authors or on my own, including many reports and articles on the general crime situation nationally and in European perspective, crime victimisation surveys, as well as business victimisation surveys in Finland, the Baltic countries and Russia; 200 articles in journals or anthologies (about 70 of which abroad), including scientific articles on crime policy, violent crime, victimisation issues, corruption, trafficking in human beings, crime statistics and other crime data; and a number of smaller texts.
